With 14 years of experience in New Zealand’s dairy farming sector, Russ has steadily advanced through various senior positions since returning from his Overseas Experience (OE). He has managed farms ranging from 600 to 2,500 cows, adapting to diverse production systems and management structures.

In the last five years, Russ has been a key member of senior leadership teams in two of Canterbury’s large-scale dairy groups, overseeing operations and working closely with large teams on farms of similar scale to ours. His experience in Canterbury has built a solid foundation in farm management, and we look forward to his insights and leadership with Southern Pastures.

Outside of work, Russ is a dedicated family man with his wife, Anna, and their three children. He is active in the community, coaching and serving on sports club boards, and together, he and Anna run a small business in the agricultural sector.
